As some of you may of heard a lot has gone down this past weekend in the Surfing World.

First off, the Pe`ahi (Jaws) Big Wave Surf Contest took place in Hawaii this past Sunday. It was the first-ever Pe'ahi Challenge with wave faces of 40-to-60 feet predicted, it promised to be a historic event and it most certainly was.
Maui local Billy Kemper (HAW) won the Big Wave Tour's Pe'ahi Challenge thanks to a perfectly timed tube-ride in massive conditions.

Meanwhile, professional surfer Evan Geiselman took a gnarly slam at Pipeline
on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.

Professional bodyboarder Andre Botha found him unconscious in the water and quickly began to attempt rescue breathing while swimming him into shore.
Geiselman was taken to hospital where is expected to make a full recovery. Many are referring to Botha as a hero and a guardian angel to Geiselman. We solute you Andre Botha.
