Having the right bodyboard for your size and weight is super important to help you to catch waves easier and give you more control. You need a board that is the correct length and width for your height, build and the type of waves you will be riding. If you are heavier go for more width and more tail width, perhaps a thicker core too. Boards that are too long for you will push water and be harder to paddle into waves. They will also be much harder to control. Boards that are too small for you will lack flotation and feel very loose. They are also a lot harder to catch waves on.
